Go with your own glow

Enhancing ones tone is the key to keep your looks real and beautiful. If you have dark skin, never ever pick shades for fair skin because you don’t want to look fake do you? These skin-tone-enhancing colors will play up your natural radiance.

For All those with fair skin: Keep that porcelain quality with pink blush on cheeks. For added impact, dust a white shimmer highlighter above cheekbones. Try Benefit Posietint for cheeks and lips ($28, Sephora; B), a flattering see-through pink liquid, and Sonia Kashuk Pink Sands Highlighting Powder available at Target ($13).

For those who have Medium Skin: Use a flesh-toned blush a shade or two darker than your complexion (make your own by mixing your regular foundation with a darker shade). For extra drama, dust peachy or pink shimmer on top of cheeks. Try Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach Brightening Blush ($19.50, Sephora; A).

For Dark Skin: Even out texture with a matte lotion or primer. It blurs imperfection so you looks like you have on foundation when you don’t. Then use a highlighter with flecks of bronze or gold across cheeks. Try Clinique Almost Bronzer SPF 15 in medium/Deep ($28.50 at department stores).
